MULTI-FACETED KING HENRY VIII (ROLF HARRIS ART LONDON)
HENRY VIII as most people would recognise him in full royal regalia and looking quite
portly but powerful. The photo below shows a 'patchwork' painting of the Renaissance
King and is made up of a number of panels each painted by a celebrity. On unveiling
day in Trafalgar Square each panel would be added to the large framework erected to
hold the panels in place until the final piece of King Henry jigsaw was in place to
complete the celebrity masterpiece. A huge curtain was in front of the framework
hiding the finished artwork from public view until the final countdown revealed the
colourful panels that made up the huge centrepiece. Rolf Harris and an assortment of
celebrity artists were in the square for the unveiling
