PEOPLE
IN LONDON, VISITORS TO LONDON AND LONDONERS
various
photos from around the capital of people at work, play,
rest or protest. London is host to all sorts of events throughout the year
- free and paid, but summer is probably the time when most events
take place and you're spoilt for choice as to where to go and what
to see. Taking candid photos of people is always intrusive but i've
managed not to get any abuse or punches in the face... so far, just
the occasional 'look'. Taking photos in so-called terrorist hotspots
can guarantee a word or three and even a stop and search from our
boys and girls in blue or security guards asking why i am taking
photos or even telling me i'm not allowed to take snaps of a
particular building! There was a demonstration in Trafalgar Square
recently by photographers both amateur and professional airing their
grievances about the over the top actions of the police when
snappers go about their business of photographing buildings, places
and other interests in this city. I think i'm known as 'the nutter'
so am usually not harassed as others who are not getting their faces
on the zillion cctv cameras that dot every nook and cranny of London G20
demo, Rise festival, Carnaval del Pueblo, various London protests
and free events, royal parks, London marathon, world naked bike
ride, snow photos, Lord mayor's show parade, homeless people,
