SNOW PRINTS ON WESTMINSTER BRIDGE (LONDON SNOWFALL AT NIGHT)
a night bus crosses this London bridge heading past big Ben. Snow has recently stopped falling
allowing me to safely get some photos without concern about water getting into the camera and lens.
Central London wasn't affected by the blizzards other areas of greater London and most of Britain
is getting in the first month of 2010. This shot was taken yesterday so things might get considerably
colder and the snow deeper

i don't normally use a filter on my lens but was glad to have had one on today as i didn't foresee
the result below. Today is 11th December and the evening and day before there was yet another
demonstration by students protesting at the colossal increase proposed for student fees. The
poorest section were naturally going to be the most affected by the increase - from what i've
heard - so it was fantastic that there was such huge attendance to try to prevent the legislation
going through. As in some of the previous central London demos for this same cause it
occasionally descended into chaos with sporadic violence and property damage. This shot
was a morning after photo with guys removing graffiti on walls and the spray from the pressure
jets bounced off, some covering my filter. I do like the effect though
