ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL PHOTOS GALLERY (1)

the St Paul's cathedral landmark atop Ludgate Hill (it's not much of a hill) is a 17th century architectural masterpiece designed by court architect Sir Christopher Wren. Although in use in the late 17th century the current incarnation of the cathedral wasn't completed until 20th October 1708, Wren's 76th Birthday. St Peter’s Basilica in Rome inspired the great dome. The cathedral is currently undergoing extensive renovation both internally and externally restoring the great landmark to Wren's original grand scheme and vision. My first photographic 'sale' became the official 2009 St Paul's Cathedral Christmas card which i and my family/relatives are justly proud and honoured. Settling snow in London is becoming less a certainty with each passing year but February's visit last year and this January's (2010) snow was for many a welcome scene even if it did bring the public transport of the city to a halt
